Tactiq pricing, free limits and plan calculator
Pro removes the transcript limit, not the AI-credit limit. If you need AI notes for many different meetings, compare that allowance before paying for a year.
Free vs Pro vs Team
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing, per month | Transcripts / month | AI credits / month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0.00 | $0.00 | 10 | 5 |
| Pro | $12.00 | $8.00 | Unlimited | 10 |
| Team | $20.00 | $16.67 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Annual billing is paid upfront, not in monthly instalments. These USD rates do not quote your local checkout, taxes or discounts. Pro is for individual accounts; a Tactiq team account uses Team or above. Business and Enterprise need a separate requirements review, rather than a cheapest-plan calculation. Your meeting budget
Use the same workload for each user. Transcript count means eligible meetings in one monthly credit period, before any archiving or referral bonuses. An AI meeting is a distinct transcript you intend to analyze.

What the limits change in practice
Transcript allowance
The Free allowance is 10 meeting credits. Meetings under five minutes do not consume one, according to the meeting-credit guide. Paid plans remove this count limit. Credits reset on the account cycle, not necessarily the first of the calendar month.
The help guide describes preview-only access after the allowance is exhausted. New credits do not unlock those older previews. Archiving an eligible transcript can return a credit for a future meeting, but the archived transcript is deleted after 30 days unless restored. That trade-off is excluded from this budget.
AI allowance
Free includes 5 credits and Pro 10. Team removes the AI-credit limit. The detailed AI guide says unused credits do not carry over and Pro cannot buy extra credits separately. Transcription and AI are separate counters.
Our default example needs 4 credits under the meeting-based rule but 12 under the action-based rule. That changes the allowance match from Free to Team. Check your actual Billing counter with one ordinary meeting before committing; this comparison has not measured Tactiq account behavior.
Platform fit before price
Tactiq's installation directory lists browser routes for Google Meet, Zoom and Teams, plus Mac-app instructions for Zoom Desktop, Teams Desktop and Slack Huddle. The old description of a browser-only product was incomplete. A listed setup route is not a compatibility or transcription-accuracy test on your machine.
Use an approved, non-sensitive trial meeting to check speaker attribution, names and numbers, then compare the exported transcript against what was said. Confirm your organisation's notice, consent and data-handling requirements before capturing real customer or staff conversations. A missing meeting bot is not proof of privacy or compliance.
Continue with Tactiq alternatives or the meeting-tools directory for other options. Those catalogue entries are not a current head-to-head test. This page makes no claim that Tactiq is more accurate or more private than them.
Questions that affect the purchase
Is Tactiq free, or only a trial?
There is an ongoing Free plan with 10 monthly meeting credits and 5 AI credits. These are separate allowances, not 10 AI summaries. Paid plans change those limits.
Does Pro include unlimited AI summaries?
No. Pro has unlimited transcripts but 10 monthly AI credits. Team has unlimited AI credits. The number of summaries a credit buys needs checking because the help article and pricing FAQ describe different accounting rules.
Is the advertised $8 Pro price a monthly payment?
It is a USD per-user monthly equivalent on annual billing. The help centre lists $12 per user when billed monthly. The annual subscription is paid upfront; local checkout prices may differ.
Can a renewed credit unlock an older preview-only transcript?
The meeting-credit help article says no: renewed or recovered credits apply to future meetings. It says a paid upgrade restores access to preview-only transcripts.
Method and reuse
ToolGlance checked five official pages and separated published prices, documented allowances and calculated scenarios. No paid account, live meeting, transcript-quality benchmark or vendor endorsement was used. The reference date applies to this review; prices are not a daily feed.
For a meeting-tool budget or procurement comparison, cite the dated price table or download its CSV alongside the chart. Keep the billing-period labels and the unresolved credit-rule difference with any reuse.
